WHAT IS A PSYCHIC?
Pop culture has created some interesting stereotypes for those with psychic abilities, however psychics are really just people who describe their experience as having a connection with an energy source that enhances our existing senses. For many it begins with something we call intuition, instinct, or a gut reaction.
How accurate these moments of knowing are is what makes them credible to ourselves as well as to others. Like our other senses, psychic abilities can be developed. We may not be able to improve our physical sight but we can train our eyes to see details as we focus on them. We all experience taste, but those who focus on this sense can develop very knowledgeable pallets.
Similarly, a person’s sense of intuition can become highly sensitive, allowing them access to information that may not be relevant to them, but is relevant to another person. The label often attached to those with this ability is “a psychic”. The information available to them is not hidden, it’s just overlooked by those who haven’t learned to recognize it. They may not know why they know it, they just do.
Most of us are so busy that we rush through our day, and don’t really take the time to pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that come to us, or the dreams that we have. Finding time to do so may provide insight into solutions and open the door to new understanding.
As a business woman of 25 years I’m very familiar with what it’s like to have a calendar full of schedules and deadlines. My own experiences with this ability have led me to seek and find answers that brought more peace and meaning to my own life. I experienced a better flow of ideas, events, and experiences since deciding to share my spiritual gifts with others.
